*NOTE - Welding Safety Glasses and Goggles using Shade 5 filters or lighter are not intended for arc welding, which requires a darker lens found in Welding Helmets (OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.252 lists the minimum lens shade requirements for a variety of welding operations).

Welding protection with IR Green shades, Cobalt, or other very dark lenses is NOT to be worn while operating moving vehicles, bicycles or any such apparatus, particularly on the road, as these shades can significantly impair one's ability to see traffic signals adequately or accurately. "Welding protection" includes, but is not limited to: glasses, goggles, shields, masks, hoods and helmets. Nice dark lenses. I was looking for Shade 5 glasses that were not tinted green. These were the only gray lenses I could find, and the price is great.

    Terrific glasses

Seeking sun glasses for extreme glare...these glasses are terrific. I have used these glasses for the past several years while playing water volleyball. They fit well limiting both side glare and water into the eye. Used in play up to 8 hrs a week, they are durable withstanding contact from play and players. I now order extra glasses for other players.

These are nice fitting glasses, but they are EXTREMELY dark! Could only use in high sunlight or high lit areas.

Nice and comfortable. Doesn’t get rid of the yellow from oxy/fuel welding as good as green, but I primarily wear these in extreme sunshine and they work leaps and bounds better than regular sunglasses.

    Poor quality

Lenses don't seem sturdy enough to prevent impact damage, hinges seem flimsy, does not fit well. Plan to return for refund.
