A few things to look out for. -LA (light Adjusting) lens. When I first got my pair they wouldn't really change to a dark lens, I could stare at the sun ant it would stay clear. Called up Wiley-X directly and they gave me 2 options. 1) Return them for a new pair, safetyglassesusa.com is a Wiley-X distributor so you can exchange them without issue. 2) Put them in the freezer for 30 min then in direct sun (high UV) for an hour on a very sunny day. I did the second option and it actually started to fade, but not to my liking. So a few days later I put it in the freezer for about 2 hours and in the sun for 6 hours from 1100-1600 pointing the lens directly up at the sun as best I could as the sun moved. (Note this was in summer on a bright day, living in Texas it was hot. Not sure if that makes any difference) After doing so the lens got very dark, enough to be good protection from sunlight. It never got to look like the picture but it gave everything a dark slightly blueish hue and was shaded enough to where I didn't mind. Another thing to keep in mind if you are new to LA lens, if its bright out side the lens will not change. The lens needs direct UV to change. For example sitting in a car with no direct sun on your face will cause the lens to me mostly clear regardless of how bright it is outside. -Fogging I have had few fogging issues but they are there. All of which happened with the foam insert in place wile in a poorly ventilated area. The Insert has VERY small holes for ventilation, wile this is plenty when you are outside or anywhere with fresh moving air, if air is humid and/or not being circulated they will fog up in about 5 min as the ventilation holes in the foam insert just isn't enough. If you take the foam insert out, or glasses off your face, the lens will de-fog itself in around 15-30 seconds. - The good The LA lense I blame my own ignorance for not knowing the freezer trick, The fogging will not be an issue for most users I think. But its something to be aware of. For the rest I can't complain, The inserts wile they look flimsy are well made. Ive been quite rough with them popping them in and out several times and have had no issues or worried about the insert or the glasses breaking. Over all comfort is great with and without the foam insert. The elastic strap makes it so there is no worry of the glasses falling off regardless of what your doing at any angle. These glasses are a bit pricey, but I would buy another pair if needed without hesitation. It takes some time to tranistion to in cold, about a minute. Other than that it usually only takes about 30 seconds. You don't notice. The glasses are transparent enough so I can work in dark areas. Also they've taken a good beating, better than oakleys. The removable seal is great for added eye protection. And having the light adjusting lens means I dont have to take them off if it's not sunny anymore.
