When it comes to welding choosing the right eyewear is critical. Welders are not only exposed to impact hazards, but also the risk of photokeratitis, a painful condition caused by the intense ultraviolet and infrared radiation produced when welding.
Welding Goggles and Welding Safety Glasses are available with both Shade 3 and Shade 5 filter lenses. These lenses are designed for Gas Welding and Oxygen Cutting applications. Welding Helmets should be used for Arc Welding as these applications require a stronger, darker filter lens. All the Welding Goggles, Welding Safety Glasses and Welding Helmets we sell are ANSI Z87.1-2010 certified.
Note to Customers:
Welding protection with IR Green shades, Cobalt, or other very dark lenses is NOT to be worn while operating moving vehicles, bicycles or any such apparatus, particularly on the road, as these shades can significantly impair one's ability to see traffic signals adequately or accurately. "Welding protection" includes, but is not limited to: glasses, goggles, shields, masks, hoods and helmets. Safety Glasses USA, Inc. is not responsible for any damage or injury caused by such activity.
