Uvex Genesis Replacement LensesJoeAugust 30, 2011Bought these to replace a lens I sat on- I went inside store when the sun was still out-starting to get overcast- hung them in my rear wallet pocket- got to my car-you get the picture...... -These are OEM lenses -once you remove originals, the replacements just snap into place...can't beat them......My only concern is that postage could be cheaper, as I could ship an elephant back to India for less....For the safety glasses,and selection,the pricing can't be beat.... Uvex Genesis Replacement LensesJoeAugust 1, 2007I'm a welder / machinist, I wear safety glasses 8 hours a day, and having tried MANY, these are simply the best I've found. I like the extended rap around lenses on the genesis, the extra protection for the cheekbone is great, especially when I'm grinding and milling, the best peripheral protection of any glasses I've tried. The fact that there 99.5% UV blocking is nice because I do get flashed (arc flash) in the shop from time to time, and although its not total protection, at least its something. The extendable / tiltable temples are great, I often find safety glasses have too long of temples for my head, this keeps them snug, and the nosepiece is very comfortable. Finally the fact that the lenses are replicable at a relatively low cost is my favorite thing about them. I'm anal about having clean and scratch free lenses, and when I'm grinding allot, I can go through a pair in a couple days, that really adds up with $10 / pair safety glasses. Now I don't have to try and hang on to glasses that are scratched up. Also there easy to clean because you can just pop them out and wash them in the sink. I work in an enviroment where I am required to wear safety glasses all day (8-10 hours) and I have no problems wearing these. They are very comfortable and fully adjustible they are the only safety glasses that I can wear all day comfortably. And ofcourse Safety Glasses USA has the best prices around and every order that I have placed with them using standard ground delivery, I have received the order in 2 to 3 business days.
