When there’s no time to blink, the Phantom doesn’t disappoint. With the second largest lens coverage in the ESPORT series, its highly wrapped configuration and headset compatible temples help achieve an optimal visual experience. Fueled by GUNNAR’s i-AMP lens technology, the MLG Phantom is a vital component to help you nab those extra frags. GUNNAR i-AMP™ lens technology is the result of intensive study and research on the human optical system and its interaction with digital devices. Based on optometric principles developed over years, and fused with the most recent in technological advances from the GUNNAR tech labs, i-AMP lens technology works with the properties of the human eye. Comprised of a proprietary lens material in an advanced geometry and finished with custom tuned lens tint and coatings, i-AMP lens technology can deliver an immediate and noticeable visual advantage in the short term, and provide performance in the long term. Benefits of GUNNAR's Amber Lenses: Optimized for LCD screen general use and fluorescent lit environments. This tint and coating combo gives the best enhancement of contrast while minimizing screen glare and the overabundance of high energy visible light found in typical computing environments. *Please note that these glasses are NOT ANSI Z87.1-2010 certified as safety glasses, and are therefore not recommended for use as such. This is a good thing for wearing them for an extended period of time. The downside is I worry I'll bend the very light and flexible metal. They come packed in a sturdy plastic case and I recommend you continue using this for travel and storage when you aren't wearing them. As far as use goes... they're super effective when you're sitting infront of a computer screen for hours and hours. They really do help and the color tone becomes easy to forget about after a short bit. However... the lenses have a slight "sweet" spot in them and are designed for shorter distances. If you wear them while, say, driving... my vision was clearer on things far away once the lenses were removed (it's a small difference though). I would recommend these for anybody who has to stare at a computer screen for long periods of time.
