Protect yourself from injury with this assortment of glasses, goggles, and masks that meet both ASTM F803-03 for Lacrosse and ASTM F2713-09 for Women's Field Hockey.
In April 2011 the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) chose to mandate protective eyewear for all field players. This requires that the protective eyewear meets the current Field Hockey standard set by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). The current standard is known and written as ASTM F2713-09. The protective eyewear is distinguished by two different construction styles: a polycarbonate lens style and a wire frame style. Both are acceptable for high school competition as long as they meet the ASTM F2713-09 standard. Players are being instructed to search online specifically for "field hockey protective eyewear that meets ASTM F2713-09 requirements." All eyewear contained in this section fits that description. To learn even more, you may go to the Field Hockey section of the NFHS website.
All approved by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS)
While they may be ASTM certified for Field Hockey, it should be noted that cage-style masks are not approved by USA Field Hockey or the International Hockey Federation (FIH) for use in their affiliated events.
