Uvex Stealth Reader Safety Goggles with Clear Bifocal Anti-Fog LensLisa DevillezJune 23, 2012Wish I had found these sooner! Trying to work with reading glasses inside goggles (even those designed to accommodate glasses) is impossible. The position of the magnifying lenses works just right for me. I tend to wear my reading glasses low so I can easily look over them for distance viewing and these goggles allow me to do the same. I purchased a higher strength replacement lens to pop in for really close work like reading graduations on a buret. Will definitely make other chemistry teachers aware of this product.
Uvex Stealth Reader Safety Goggles with Clear Bifocal Anti-Fog LensMachinist/Lathe HandApril 28, 2012Pros: - Clearest lens I have ever had in ANY form of eye protection, bar none. A bit of Windex daily, and they are just like new again! - very good protection from cutting oil mist - strap allows ear muff style hearing protection to make a good seal, effectively preserving proper and designed noise reduction. Overall style, and wraparound lens provide EXCELLENT and wide field of vision, with ZERO reduction of peripheral vision. I never see the side boundaries of the frame. Cons: - Too wide for my face, allowing gaps in the face seal at the temples. I would like to have a narrower size (smaller radius of face curve) to eliminate this. - They tend to ride a bit high on my face, forcing me to draw my chin to my chest to see over the magnification regions, interfere with my hat, and cause the top edge to cut into my forehead. Reduction of the overall dimension top-to bottom would go a long way toward eliminating these problems. - I don't particularly care for the rounded magnification regions so close together that the force me to cross my eyes to properly see through them. As well, I would MUCH prefer a more standard shape with a horizontal top edge, reduced vertical dimension and increased horizontal dimension of the magnification areas. - Adjustable strap is very comfortable, but allows slippage through the side stays. Narrower slots and allowing the center vertical to stand proud of the outside surface of the stays (or modification of the material of the stays for better grip to the strap) may eliminate this issue. Suggestions: Make the above modifications, and offer a slightly narrower version, and I shall certainly purchase them. I will use them as they are for now, but the minute I locate a better-fitting goggle for me, I will buy the better-fitting goggle, regardless of the manufacturer. In other words, make a goggle to fit me properly, or lose my patronage when I find better-fitting model.

Uvex Stealth Reader Safety Goggles with Clear Bifocal Anti-Fog LensDawn BestJune 9, 2011The indirect venting helps keep the goggles from fogging up. They're very comfortable as far as goggles go & have a good seal around your face. The bifocal lens is great - better than wearing glasses & goggles. Our company has several people using thes in caustic areas & there's been nothing but praise - no complaints. Thanks for a good product!
Uvex Stealth Reader Safety Goggles with Clear Bifocal Anti-Fog LensGuffeyMarch 29, 2011The goggle part is great: soft edge, pretty good fit (I have a very small nose - anyone with an average size or large nose would find these fit great), bifocal easy to use. The only negative is the cheap strap: doesn't hold it's position, uncomfortable, has a "hard" edge that digs in. I don't get it - they put a great goggle with a crappy strap. I think it will be easy enough to replace with a better strap and have a good pair of woodshop goggles
