They are rugged and protect my eyes from body fluid splash excellently. I work in healthcare and in an environment that is HIGH RISK for blood splatter. I have had my glasses splattered with blood many times & had I not worn the glasses, I wouldve had a high risk exposure. Additionally, the bifocal magnifier is excellent for fine motor up close management of delicate medical equipment, or for suturing etc. These are excellent for healthcare professionals. They are rugged and durable. I have order probably 6 pairs in past 8 yrs or so. I only break them because they end up at bottom of backpack and get crushed with all stuf I carry. The primary reason I need to replace them frequently is because they get STOLEN. These glasses sit away from your face enough to minimize fogging and are comfortable to wear all day. The only downside I've seen is that the part that goes over your ears will scratch the lenses when these are closed and in your pocket, so use the protector that comes with the glasses. Using these outdoors in high humidity they rarely ever fogged up and due to their design you can where them so they are a little farther from your face to promote air circulation. The bifocal lens is positioned so it is not noticiable unless you are looking down so it feels pretty natural. The nose-pieces that other reviewers mentioned did come off once for me but they were easy to slide back on and have stayed put ever since. Overall, for someone like me who doesn't like to wear safety glasses, the benefit of the bifocal and the comfort of these glasses made these a clear winner. I find the frames to be quite comfortable and durable. Though plastic, the lenses offer reasonable scratch resistance and come with a nice protective sleeve for storage. The bifocal lenses are positioned nicely for looking down at maps and documents, but don't interfere with forward vision while driving. The lenses will fog under extreme conditions, but clear quickly when warmed, and seem reasonably fog resistant most of the time. My only gripe would be the rubber nose grips, which, though comfortable, are easy to loose. Some other reviewers have had problems with the nose piece but I have very sensitive sinuses and I find they are very comfortable to wear. While I would like an option to adjust the length, they seem to adhere to my long hair well so I haven't had trouble with them falling off. The location of the bifocal makes them very useful for doing short range tasks and in lab reading. I have had my pair since 2007 and I haven't had any problems. I always keep them in my glove box in case I need them.
