Airsoft is not just a game. It's a tactical simulation exercise employed by many military and police units to hone their skills, strategies and awareness, and is usually taken very seriously. And because anyone's eye is no match for a plastic BB traveling at 400-600fps, everyone should take both the activity and appropriate eye protection seriously. Protect your vision with safety glasses or goggles that look good and can take a beating. We realize that a plastic BB is ultimately not as destructive as one made of copper or steel. But it's still more than enough to take out an eye. So because of the higher velocities involved in Airsoft, we've included mostly Ballistic rated eyewear to ensure optimum protection. For the best protection, we suggest using a goggle, which leaves no gap for an Airsoft BB to sneak through. For this reason, they are listed first. Also, because you can't hit what you can't see, many of the styles listed in this section contain anti-fog coated lenses, so you can enjoy a clear view of the battlefield when the action heats up.
