3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic LensTroySeptember 19, 2012I have owned my pair for two years, and they are wonderful. Not as dark as I would like, but I can live with it. I am in and out of the shop so often that it is not practical to change glasses. These have worked well for me. I will say the disappointing thing was that they really work well in cool weather, but not so much in the heat. Weather does effect them, but not cloud cover.
3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic LensCARTERSeptember 5, 2012WELL THERE NOT WHAT I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE. BUT AT THE SAME TIME THERE BETTER THAN NOTHING. YET I STILL WOULD OF LIKED THEM TO BE AS DARK AS THEY ARE IN THERE PICTURES BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO WE YOU NEED SOMETHING LIKE THIS SO YOU DONT HAVE TO ALWAYS BE CHANGING YOUR EYE WARE WHEN YOU GO FROM OUTSIDE TO INSIDE YA THEY WORK AND YA I WOULD TELL OTHERS ABOUT THEM BUT I WILL ALSO LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY DONT AS DARK AS THEY SHOULD
3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic LensSteveAugust 8, 2011Comfortable eyewear with polycarbonate photochromatic lens. It has a reasonable price. You can adjust temple and nosepiece by yourself. Great!! Sometime it’s not dark as we needed but it depends by UV light not real light. But function well. I like it.
3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic LensGaryDecember 14, 2010I see that safetyglassesusa finally has a "WARNING" now ... or advisary now, that the darkening effect is very little - ie; they call it "medium". Meah ... better than nothing I suppose. But I wish they could have had the warning back when WE bought ours. Anyway - we're still looking for TRUE, DARKENING safety glasses. If these WERE what we'd hoped for, then the busy/checkered designed wouldn't have been so "over the top" either. There is no warranty of satisfaction, so we'll just have to make due. Could have been worse.
3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic LensLuisJune 24, 2010Like the photochromatic lens. It would be nice if there were a larger selection of frame styles.
3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic Lensmike benavidesJune 12, 2010I have owned my pair for about a two years and I really like them!! they may not darken very much but is still enough to where its not uncomfortable to be out in the direct sun light. Just need some more durable nose pieces they do seem to slide off after a couple of months of wearing them. if you have replacements for them please let me know.
3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic LensGaryMay 19, 2009Good quality safety glasses. They transition nicely & are very comfortable to wear. The rubber on the nose piece after wearing for a few weeks start coming off easily. Need to have some replacement nose pieces or the rubber covers for the nose piece.
3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic LensMike GrieffMarch 18, 2009These safety glasses are of good quality and the transition works very, well. The lenses are of good quality and there is no distortion of vision. These safety glasses are nice enough in appearance that they could be worn for every day sun glasses and would also, be excellent for motorcycle riding. I would have given these safety glasses 5 stars if they had been Made In The USA instead of Taiwan.
3M SmartLens Safety Glasses with Photochromic LensEricJuly 1, 2008I ordered these hoping not to carry 2 pair of safety glasses. They darken quickly but don't seem to block 78% of the light as specified. I still find myself squinting when working around light colored exterior walls or in direct sun. They are put together well and seem to be very durable. The nose piece is comfortable and does not cut in the bridge of my nose like safety glasses with out one. Not a bad deal for around 40 bucks since other brands of photocromic glasses sell for $80 or more.
